Revised Recommendations

The Commissioner published his Revised Recommendations for the proposed eleven new local government districts in Northern Ireland and their constituent wards on 27 Febuary 2009.  They vary the Provisional Recommendations published by the Commissioner on 17 September 2008.  

The Revised Recommendations take account of written and oral representations received during the public consultation period, which ended on 12 November 2008.  They are also informed by the conclusions and recommendations in the Reports of the eleven Assistant Commissioners who held public hearings in each of the proposed new local government districts during November 2008.

The Revised Recommendations Report has been published in a number of smaller sections for ease of access.  Please note that the text at the beginning of each district section contains a table of the wards within that district.  Wards that have been changed in any way from those in the Provisional Recommendations are highlighted in red.  The maps that follow on from the text show the highlighted wards in order.
